TCL Volunteers Go to Qinghai Keba to Plant Greenery, Painting a New Ecological Picture of Tibetan Township
Adhering to the ecological aspiration that "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets," on the occasion of the 57th World Earth Day, on April 20, Wang Yun, Vice President of TCL Gtrontec, led a volunteer team from the TCL Charity Foundation to travel to Longduolaka Mountain in Kexia Village, Qinghai, to carry out an ecological public welfare tree-planting initiative. The "Ecological Keba, Responsible Coexistence – Qinghai 'Ecological Keba, Green Plateau' Ecological Forest Public Welfare Project," initiated and continuously empowered by the TCL Charity Foundation, officially took root, leveraging public welfare efforts to empower local ecological governance and pave a bright path for building a green and beautiful Tibetan township.
At the event site, volunteers, guided by local forest rangers, orderly completed the loading and transportation of saplings and irrigation pipes, delivering each green hope steadily to the designated planting areas. On that day, volunteers and villagers worked together to plant 500 saplings; over two years of cultivation, staying true to the original intention, a total of nearly 3,000 saplings have been planted, covering an area of approximately 20,000 square meters, allowing the greenery of the TCL "Green Dream Keba" ecological public welfare forest to continuously expand, injecting endless ecological vitality into the Tibetan township, and promoting the steady improvement and sustainable enhancement of the local ecological environment.
On Longduolaka Mountain, at an altitude of over 3,000 meters, the clear breeze carried sincerity, and the mountain peak reflected original aspirations. Volunteers and villagers climbed the slope, receiving explanations and demonstrations from forest rangers on scientific planting. Subsequently, working in pairs, they cooperated tacitly and divided tasks orderly, strictly following the standard procedure of "digging holes, placing saplings, straightening, filling soil, and watering." On the plateau, the climate was cold and the work difficult, but all participants were passionate about their mission, fulfilled their duties diligently, and maintained orderly and warm scene at the site. Every effort demonstrated the responsibility and commitment to collaborative greening and ecological construction, and every silhouette embodied the beautiful pursuit of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.
The tree-planting activity concluded successfully, but the path of green protection continues. Subsequently, a group photo was taken to capture this cross-mountain public warmth and凝聚 the powerful force for building a green and beautiful township. At the subsequent tree-planting symposium, participants opened their hearts and spoke freely, sharing their insights and experiences from their involvement. They discussed the further promotion of the "Green Dream Keba" ecological construction and specific measures for sapling maintenance, offering suggestions and opinions, deepening the concept of ecological protection through exchange, and凝聚共识 for building a green and beautiful Tibetan township, clarifying the forward direction and consolidating the work foundation.
It is reported that the ecological public welfare project is based on the plateau location characteristics of Kesang Village and Kexia Village, facing the real dilemmas of sparse vegetation and prominent hidden dangers of land desertification. With tree planting as the core approach, it targets two major goals: land desertification control and regional ecological balance improvement. Through continuous sapling planting and later maintenance work, it gradually increases local vegetation coverage, steadily advancing the ecological protection work of the Tibetan township, allowing the charm of green beauty to permeate every inch of land and the effectiveness of ecological benefits for the people to take root.
This public welfare tree-planting activity was implemented by a public welfare team jointly formed by the TCL Gtrontec Carbon Ecological Public Welfare Team, the Shenzhen Climate Action Volunteer Service Team, and the Embrace Sunshine Mental Health Group of the Shenzhen Volunteer Federation. Team members are backbone forces with more than 20 years of volunteer service experience, covering domestic and international locations, often rooted in remote mountainous areas, deeply engaged in education support and ecological environmental protection fields. With original intentions as their mission and actions conveying warmth, they use persistence and dedication to write moving chapters of contemporary public welfare, spreading love and responsibility across mountains and seas.
A new green tree carries a hope; a forest demonstrates responsibility. This tree-planting activity not only effectively enhanced local carbon sink capacity, contributing solid strength to mitigating the greenhouse effect and improving the regional ecological environment, but also tapped into the development potential of local under-forest economy and ecotourism, laying a solid foundation and paving the way for the green and sustainable development of Kesang and Kexia villages. In the future, this lush public welfare forest will gradually become the most distinctive ecological名片 of Kesang and Kexia villages, achieving two-way empowerment and coordinated development of ecological and economic benefits. This benevolent act of the TCL Charity Foundation transforms the ecological concept of "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets" into concrete practice rooted in the earth, injecting lasting and powerful strength into promoting harmonious coexistence between humans and nature in Tibetan townships and achieving high-quality ecological development.
Ecological construction of Tibetan townships is not a one-day effort; it requires long-term persistence; building a green and beautiful homeland is not one person's effort; it requires joint efforts. At present, the newly planted saplings on the summit of Longduolaka Mountain are growing well under the nourishment of clear wind and love, adding a touch of vivid green to the vast Tibetan township and lighting up the hope of ecological development. In the next step, as the saplings thrive and maintenance work deepens, the local ecological environment will continue to improve, and the construction of the green and beautiful Tibetan township will enhance quality and efficiency, gradually painting a new ecological picture of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature, intertwined mountains and waters, and lush greenery, helping the ecological construction of Tibetan townships to enter a new stage of high-quality development.
